What is XAT?
XAT or Xavier Aptitude Test is national-level management entrance examination conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes. Apart from XLRI and 10 other XAMI members, over 700 B-schools accept XAT scores for admission to their post graduate management programmes. Eligibility criteria to apply for XAT 2020 is Graduation in any discipline. Candidates in their final year of Gradaution are also eligible for XAT.

What’s New in XAT Exam?
Last year, XLRI, Jamshedpur introduced a major change in the XAT exam pattern. From now on, the question paper will not have Essay Writing section. The XAT 2020 question paper will consist of questions from Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability and Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and General Knowledge, only.

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university
Students in their Final year of Graduation (completing final examination by June 10, 2019) or awaiting their results are also eligible to apply, provided they can produce their Graduation certificate and marksheet by the end of year

To be able to perform well in XAT, it is important to be stress free. And for a stress free XAT it is important to know all about the exam. Read the XAT 2020 examination manual carefully, do not miss any point for it may cost you dearly. To avoid last minute hustle, note the following below:
What to carry on Exam Day?
XAT exam is conducted in online mode, thus you may not need any stationary during the exam. You must also carry a secondary ID proof for identification purpose. Do not to carry mobile phones, Ipad, electronic items, luggage or valuables as such items are prohibited.
Admit card: The XAT 2020 admit card is the most important document to be carried to the exam hall. It must be noted that without the XAT admit card, no candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall.
Identity Proof: Each XAT 2020 aspirant must carry any of the following ID proofs to the exam centre: Aadhar card, Voter ID, Passport, College/University ID, Driver’s license.

XAT 2020 Process
XAT 2020 Selection Process
XAT 2020 selection process includes three stages: Registration, application submission and XAT test. Registration process for XAT 2020 is likely to begin in the third week of August and conclude in the last week of November. Here’s a step by step guide to XAT 2020 for new aspirants:
STEP 1: XAT 2020 registration cum application process
For XAT 2020 registration, you will need a functional email ID and mobile phone number. To register for XAT 2020, go to the official XAT website and click on Registration link and enter relevant information in the given fields. Once you have registered successfully on the XAT website, login with the user ID and password shared. XAT application forms are available only in online mode. Any candidate who wishes to apply, will have to do so online only by paying Rs 1700 as application fee. Read more: XAT Registration
STEP 2: XAT 2020 admit card
XAT 2020 admit cards will be available for download on the official website of XAT. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website by using their login IDs. Read more: XAT admit card
STEP 4: XAT 2020 result
XAT exam result will be announced in the second week of January 2020. The test takers can check their scores online on the official XAT website by using their user ID and password. Read more: XAT result
STEP 5: Group Discussion and Personal Interview
Post the declaration of XAT 2020 result, XLRI will announce its Group Discussion and Personal Interview schedule for the candidates shortlisted for admission to 2020 batch. The Group Discussion and Personal Interviews will be held in various cities and the candidates will have to confirm their interview city online on the official website within the stipulated time limit.
